I had to cool the butter mixture and was running out of time, so I put it in the freezer. The freezer door managed to swing back unstably, as our freezer doors are wont to do, and ran my left hand holding the hot saucepan into my left inner upper arm. I have a sizeable (two fifty-cent pieces) first degree burn, and possibly something more second-degree-ish where the bottom and rim of the saucepan got me. (There's a bit of blistering, and some whiteness.)
Ouchie. But it had settled down to nothing but an ignorable tenderness--until I just jabbed my thumbnail into the presumably first-degree area in two spots while taking off my bra. A nothing-scrape is now causing me needle-like jolts of pain.
Is can be end of carelessness time now, thanks?
Have a safe weekend.
